About April

Ya, so here's my little escape, and right here and now we'll set some ground rules. I'll tell you about me and my pathetic life so long as you promise not to stalk me or anything. Kthxbye. I'd also appreciate it if you didn't judge me based on my poor choice of words, seeing as I'm very sarcastic and sarcasm is (unfortunately) very hard to portray on the web.

So let's start out with some basics.

My name is April Elizabeth. You really don't need to know my last name, since it's pretty much irrelevant.

The magic date is 9-18-93, making me 15 this coming September. So start shopping for those gorgeous birthday presents.

In August, I will start tenth grade, a.k.a. sophomore year. So in less than a year, I will be able to say that I am halfway done with my stupid high school career.

While we're on the subject of school, let's just say that I hate it. High school is the dumbest place ever. You don't learn anything except what little material is on the standardized tests they force upon us once a year. I think we should skip the entire high school experience and throw us right into college.

Since I live in New Mexico, and I'm a total mommy and daddy's girl, I don't really want to go too far from home for college. The farthest I'm willing to go is Northern California.

After I graduate college, I plan on lugging my blond-haired, green-eyed, lanky body all the way to little old fabulous New York City! I want to start a career in dance. Seriously, I don't know what I'd do if I stopped dancing.

I've had my brush with fame. I met Jack Black when he was filming, I've seen Jessica Alba eating dinner, and I saw Shia LeBeouf go out clubbing. I also ate the leftovers of The Beach Boys catering, but I haven't actually met them.

I also know a close friend who might drop out of college to audition for So You Think You Can Dance, but lets just hope she doesn't forget us little people once she becomes rich and famous.

In addition to dancing, I really enjoy being in musicals. As of now, I've been in about five local musical productions, most currently being Guys and Dolls. I really want to be in their upcoming production called Pippin, but I'm underage and it's about a young man who leaves WWII and goes and finds hippies and smokes weed with them and has orgys.

My taste in music is pretty eclectic. I really love the kind of music that has very raw and blunt lyrics, like Kate Nash and Imogen Heap. I love pretty much anything. Except bluegrass, total hardcore country, and rap. I can't stand rap. I also like any kind of "rock," even though I hate giving music actual genres. Some of my favorite bands are Paramore, Cute Is What We Aim For, Boys Like Girls, Coldplay, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, and Daughtry. But don't think I have a limited taste. I could stay here for hours typing all of my favorite bands and singers. But you'd probably get real bored real quick, so I'll stop there.

I am a nerd. I'll come right out and admit that. I love reading. Currently, I've become addicted to a little series called Twilight. I'm anxiously awaiting Breaking Dawn, chess board cover and all. I must say, I am on Team Edward. But who isn't?!?! I also love classic British and American literature, like Jane Austen, Emily Bronte, Charles Dickens, and Mark Twain. I am currently in the middle of The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne. I also like teen books, like The Clique, Gossip Girl, and The A-List. I read other teen books, like The Year of Secret Assignments by Jaclyn Moriarity.

In addition to being a book nerd, I'm also a movie junkie. There's an icon in the "Other" section on this site that completely describes me. It says "I love movies. I don't even call them movies. I call them cinematic adventures!" It's so cute and describes me completely. I love watching old movies like The Red Shoes, Gone With The Wind, and Breakfast at Tiffanys. Basically anything that plays on Turner Classic Movies channel is a-okay with me. But I'm not totally stuck in the past, either. I love The Notebook, Moulin Rouge, Harry Potter, and the Star Wars saga, just to name a few. What?!?! Is that Star Wars I see?!?!?!? Why, yes, dear reader, I love Star Wars. I'll admit it. I'm a Star Wars junkie. I'm also a big Harry Potter nerd, too. And Pirates of the Caribbean. I looooooove romantic movies and comedies, but very rarely when they're together. To me, what the movie industry calls "dramadies" usually turn out pathetic and not funny or romantic. One exception to this rule is Katherine Heigl's new movie, 27 Dresses.

So I hope you have gotten a pretty good idea about what I am like, but not too much(stalker!!). So now that you know all about me, go visit the content section and use my resources!
